The Koolaire KDT0700A full-cube ice machine head with bin has an air-cooled condensing unit that uses fans to direct cold air across the condenser and cool the equipment. Depending on surrounding conditions, this unit can produce 740 pounds of full-cube ice daily. This ice melts more slowly than half-cube ice, so it is perfect for drinks that are meant to be sipped. Its exterior looks and feels like stainless steel and resists smudges and rust. Its food zone—the areas that touch water and ice—is sealed to prevent bacterial growth. In order to keep the unit sanitary, the food zone has white plastic components that stand out against dirt. When they need cleaning, the water shield, floats, pump, distribution tube, and trough can be removed by hand.
